Love Yourself. Respect your body. Nourish your soul.

I had always dreamed about starting a blog. Now is the time.

For the last 3 years I have increased my interest in nutrition and the way I approach food, my eating habits and exercise habits. It has been a long journey and finally something has clicked in my head. All that information that I have absorbed, all the images I have seen and the thoughts that have crossed my mind are finally starting to make sense.

I have never had an unhealthy relationship with food, but I didn’t really understand what having a healthy diet meant. And the fact that I went “into dieting mode” is a reflection of that. I now understand that is a completely wrong approach that just stresses, puts pressure and doesn’t let us enjoy the best moments in life.  The word diet, according to the Oxford Dictionary is the kinds of food that a person, animal, or community habitually eats. This meaning that a diet is not starving, or punishing yourself for the holidays. Instead it is a way of eating, nurturing the body and keeping in balance most of the time (Sometimes you just want to slack off and eat a whole pecan pie!).

What I will try to do from this day on is to share my thoughts, ideas and information that will help you keep a balanced life. My main concern lays specifically on how to achieve the nutritional and physical goals that will make feel healthier, stronger and in the end proud of myself.

Love Yourself. Respect your body. Nourish your soul.
